The war of words between TRS and TDP is escalating with every passing day.
TDP President, N Chandrababu Naidu should be categorical on his stand on Telangana to make the people of the region believe him, TRS leader T Harish Rao, said here on Thursday.
‘Chandrababu Naidu has no political agenda and he is a manipulator who would stoop to any level,’ Harish Rao who is monitoring the Station Ghanpur elections, told reporters here.
While he was the Chief Minister, he did care for the common man. He had done away with the Rs2-a-kg rice scheme introduced by NTR and lifted prohibition besides booking cases against farmers who asked for power supply, he said.
He is applying the same double speak and two eyes policy to ditch the people of Telangana, Harish Rao said and alleged that Chandrababu provoked Seemandhra leaders to resign after Centre expressed its willingness for Telangana.
‘No one will believe Naidu and his drama. Leaders from the region are still working as his slaves in the party. While the fear of defeat is prompting TDP to resort to attacks on TRS cadre, Congress is misusing police force to foist false cases,’ he said.
The two parties are going to forfeit deposits in the by-election, he said.
