For actress Pranitha, who debuted with a not-so-successful Udhayan in Kollywood, Saguni’s good run has been a great blessing. She says, “I was really hoping for a lot from this film. The collections of the film are going strong and it had an excellent opening.”
The actress, who landed this film as part of a three-film deal with Studio Green, says, “I was cast in this film because the wanted a sweet girl-next-door kind of heroine. It was a big signing and I got to work with many great actors like Karthi sir, Santhanam sir and Prakash Raj sir.
The actress narrates, “The film has got me noticed and how. I recently got a call from a private radio channel in Sri Lanka, where the host said that fans in the country want to know more about Saguni’s heroine. I felt really happy with the way I’ve been noticed after the film. I’ve been getting a lot of movie and ad offers too.
The actress, though, is quick to point out how it is the ensemble cast that has clicked for the film. “The entire cast has performed well and I’m just a small part of the success. The chemistry shared between Karthi sir and Santhanam sir is the one of the biggest pluses of the film,” says Pranitha.

Thala Ajith's Billa 2 Movie Grand USA Premier
Ajith’s gangster flick Billa 2 has become the most awaited movie of 2012 and the makers have planned a grand release worldwide. Billa 2 is touted to be the second big release worldwide, after Superstar Rajinikanth’s Enthiran that was released in 2050 screens.
Latest on Billa 2 release is that, makers have confirmed the premier of the movie on July 12th in about 34 screens in 28 states of USA alone while the movie will be aired in 59 screens from 13th July.

Ajith's Billa 2 Theatre List gets BIG
The Theatre List for Ajith's Billa 2 will be released today in the Chennai edition News Papers.
As per sources Billa 2 will get a maximum of 50 Screens within the city.
Also more screens will get added towards the release day it seems. A Special VIP Screening of Billa 2 will be showcased on July 12th in Srilanka says sources.

Superstar(Rajinikanth) - the Boss of Tokyo Film Festival
Superstar Rajnikanth enjoys a huge fan base in Japan where his Muthu dubbed and released as dancing Maharaja made it big.
Now his magnum opus Sivaji the Boss which was released at few centres in Japan then is going there again.
The movie produced by the famed AVM Productions stars RajiniKanth, Shriya Saran, Suman, Vivek among others.
Music by A R Rahman was a huge hit and the songs topped the audiocharts. Directed by Shankar with cinematography by K V Anand, Sivaji won several acclaims besides garnering huge collections at the BO.
The big news is that the movie will be screened in the Tokyo film festival on 14, 15 and 16 September.

The playback singer in multifaceted Kamal Haasan needs no introduction; however he was last heard only in 2010 in 'Manmadhan Ambu'. The ace film star has now crooned a peppy number in 'Haridas'.
It is said that the song's concept and Vijay Antony's tunes for the track is what that attracted Kamal the most before giving his nod for the project. GNR Kumaravelan has indeed managed to make several headlines by roping in Kamal Haasan as a playback singer for a track.
'Haridas' featuring Kishore and Sneha is touted to throw light on the emotional conflicts between a 8-year old and his father. The film was recently in news as the crew got caught in rough waters. 'Haridas' will be Sneha's second release post her wedding, the first being 'Murattu Kaalai' that was shot ages ago.

Beautiful Heroine Sneha Escapes Death Luckily
Actress Sneha who returned back to the shooting after her marriage with long-time boyfriend. During her recent shoot for of her forthcoming Tamil film 'Haridas' , Sneha has faced a near death experience.
While the unit of 'Haridas' was filming a song shoot on the Rameshwaram island, a giant wave hit the boat and turned it upside down. Sneha was rescued and sent to the shores in another life boat. Director Kumaravelu who don't know how to swim has to hold on to the boat and Cinematographer Ratnavelu kept on swimming till some local fisherman rescued them.
The unit had a lucky escape and it took some time for Sneha to get back to normal mode. Although the director came up with a proposal of postponing shoot for few days looking at the actress's condition, she insisted to complete the schedule. Sneha has won the hearts with her commitment and dedication to work!

Eight Music Directors for Chiyaan Vikram’s Next Film
Vikram’s David, which is directed by Bejoy Nambiar, will have eight music directors composing the music. The film will have two completely different stories intertwined and the director is using two cameramen to shoot the stories.
While Vikram plays a fisherman, the other male lead, Jiiva, is a musician. Vinay Virmani plays Jiiva’s role in the Hindi version. How the two cross paths in David forms the story.
The director has roped in eight music directors for this film and notable among them are Prashant Pillai, Anirudh Ravichander, Remo and Modern Mafia.
Lara Dutta, Tabu, Isha Sharvani and Nasser are playing important roles in the film. Getaway Films and Reliance Entertainment are jointly producing the film.

Lakshmi Ramakrishnan has carved a niche for herself by playing character roles in movies such as ‘Pirivom Sandhippom’, ‘Eeram’, ‘Nan Mahan Alla’, ‘Yuddham Sei’ and ‘Poi Solla Porom’Now she is ready with her maiden directorial venture, titled ‘Aarohanam’, which will be released on July 27.
Says the actress-director, “Aarohanam is a Sanskrit word, and in musical context, it denotes the ascending of the swarams in the ragas. But my film is not a musical subject. I chose to call it Aarohanam because it talks about the upswings in the lives of the protagonists.
Interestingly, many of my friends told me that they didn’t understand the meaning of my title. It was surprising because though we are musically-inclined, we aren’t aware of the basics of aarohanam and avarohanam in Carnatic music.
The film stars Abhinay, Viresh, Jai Guheni, Sampath, Jayaprakash, Viji, Uma Padmanaban, Rajee and Vijayasarathy in crucial roles.
