‘Nam Anna Don’ is a package with hilarious elements, touching contents, transforming of hearts, doing good to the society etc.

One of his colleagues is furious with his popularity announces without permission Dr Arjun will do the heart operation from his expenses to a child. Around this time a don met with an accident who is brought to this hospital is kept in ICU. The brother of Anna Don (Rajendra Karanth) Muthu(Raju Thalikote) wants his brother alive and this is a ticklish situation for Dr Arjun and his colleagues in the hospital.
Dr Arjun and gang keep Anna Don in the ICU and make him alive in the eyes of his brother Muthu because for his Anna Don is everything in life. In the night they shift Anna Don body to the ice bar and morning he is kept at the ICU. Muthu post an assistant at the ICU to take care of all needs of Anna Don further complications shoots up for Dr Arjun. At this time the don brother Muthu is informed that Dr Arjun is facing problem from Maalpani Hospital. This becomes very helpful for Dr Arjun as the hospital boss is kidnapped by Muthu and gang members. All the children get free treatment from this kidnap.
As the body of Anna Don is shifted daily the happy children in the hospital without telling Dr Arjun take the onus of shifting the body of Anna Don one day. The problem starts for Dr Arjun and his colleagues in the hospital. At this point of time the mad bearded, black looking beggar who often visits the hospital strikes a child who writes a picture that look similar to Anna Don. Surprised with this Dr Arjun seeks the beggar help to pose as Anna Don.

ANALYSIS –
Known for intelligence and good knowledge in making a neat and nice film Ramesh Aravind in his fifth film as director (Rama Shama Bhama, Sathyavan Savitri, Accident and Venkata in Sankata) never disappoints. The grandeur is missing is the only complaint in this film.
Very convincing screenplay holds the attention and also gives lot of funny situations. For the entire family of one year age to 90 years this is worth watching entertainer.
Keep aside the logic part of the film. When director Ramesh Aravind for overnight stay of the body to save it from decomposition look for an ice bar later the same body freely moves around on a trolley, gets the makeup of a Punjabi, one of the colleagues of Dr Arjun removes the makeup and wears it for him, the body remains at the showroom – how come the smell of this body never emanate to the public at large? Have they put any solutions to it?
The fun inside the hospital and outside is very interestingly conceived by director Ramesh Aravind. The climax angle of ‘Aptha Mithra’ for this film ‘Nam Anna Don’ climax has come to help. Exchange of the dead Anna Don with the living beggar who looks like Anna Don is inspired from ‘Aptha Mithra’.
The highly relieving point is when all charges on Dr Arjun, his fiancé Malini get solved. In the process lot of tensions, nail biting situations without crossing the limits director Ramesh Aravind has worked very well in the four walls first.
The dialogues for all the characters are well derived. Ramesh Aravind and Chandrasekhar get credit for this division of work.
With 20 plus children making a film is not an easy task. The children have got chance for naughty behavior. Director Ramesh Aravind in the post interval looks more convincing that the first half. The different characters all connecting to the climax and the scenes he shows one by one with excellent editing from Sounder Raj the film goes to different height.
For serious film viewers the emergence of beggar role Rajendra Karanth gives a clue when the Anna Don is shown as dead and kept in the ICU of the hospital. The imagination comes true. What is great about Ramesh Aravind is that in the dialogues without hesitation he agrees that the magic of ‘Aptha Mithra’ has to be done to avoid further inconvenience at the petrol bunk scene.
PERFORMANCES –
Ramesh Aravind is once again brilliant as actor and director. He has that quick movement and ease at delivering dialogues for the hilarious scenes. None of the scenes look unnatural. As a doctor this actor Ramehs Aravind is perfect. As a director this Ramesh Aravind is superb. His energy and liveliness is appreciable. Ramesh Aravind is a wonderful asset to the Kannada cinema industry.
Mona Parveresh in her debut looks beautiful and acted convincingly especially when she is riding vehicle and conversing on mobile with Ramesh Aravind. The dubbing for her portion is too good.
The performance of Rajendra Karanth, Raju Thalikote, MS Umesh, Achyuth Rao, Layendra, Mathew Manu are additional boon to this film. The fatso growth of journalists Sunaina and Vijayasarathi has only been utilized. Both of them are very poor actors. Sanathini looks beautiful but not much of opportunity to perform.
TECHNICALITY -
The opening song – duet on Ramesh Aravind and Mona Parveresh Yee Jeeva….is set in a serene background. The flash mob song Jumbalaka….has the Naku Moka….tune and Mathews Manu is promising with background score.
The Krishnakumar cinematography in the hospital atmosphere is not bright in the beginning. The editing is top class in this film. The production values are competent.
Last but not the Least – Comedy is good for long life. Watch this to increase your life span.
