Gavipuram 2012 Kannada Movie Review
STORY –
It is a very simple story of a Gowda community girl and Brahmin community boy falling in love. Gowda community girl Radha (Soujanya) and Raghavendra (Sooraj) from priest family fall in love after initial hiccups. Both are very strong in their love and not ready to give up their lovely life.
When both Radha and Raghavendra put up the issue of marriage the elders accept without causing any hindrance. The rich Sosale Gowda (Sharat Lohitashva) has high respect to priest Shivaramanna father of Raghavendra because in his life he has conducted many inter caste marriages.
What is the hardship you ask? There is brother of Radha who is up against to his father for agreeing to this match. Sosale Gowda on the other is not interested in hearing to his son because he does not have the good qualities. Sosale Gowda son was once caught by the police in the sex racket has brought down his prestige. From that day he has announced that his son is dead for him.
Unfortunately Radha is not aware of all these developments and she has immense affection to her brother. The innocence of sister is misused by brother creates a havoc that is avoided by the muscle power of Raghavendra.
All is well at the end.

ANALYSIS –
Not only Kannada cinema industry several language film industries have seen hundreds of films of this kind so far in the history of cinema.
The careless of director Kumar burns the coffers of the innocent producer Jagannath Hegde. The elements touching with good screenplay is what absolutely missing in this film.
Everything happens according to the expectations. There is no fun or excitement required for the audience. Like the ancient days of narration director Kumar narrates everything and not studied the present market requirement. He is very hopeless as a director.
Secondly in the selection of actors he has made a big mistake. The veterans are OK but the lead roles should have been given ample training and the camera angle for them should have been changed at many places.
Producer of this film Jagannath Hegde should have consulted his friends and relatives on this kind of story narration before going to the sets. A poor judgment from the producers spoils the chances.
PERFORMANCES –
Sooraj and Soujanya have to immediately join acting classes. They have to stand before the huge mirrors do the acting and know how they look. Get good friends who give critical comment. Absorb it and then inculcate it.
Sharat Lohitashva, Sangeetha, Shivaramanna and Sumithramma are very good in their roles.
TECHNICALITY –
Rajesh Ramanath and JG Krishna are also good in their music and cinematography. Gubbachigu Minchhulugu agoithu Kalyana…song is very melodious. JG Krishna outdoor cinematography is absorbing.
Editing in the film is not up to the mark as every scene could be easily made out.
Last but not the Least – New producers tame yourself otherwise pay for costly mistake.
