The national award winning actress for ‘Haseena’ Thara is the ambassador for the 4th Bengaluru International Film Festival starting from 15th of December to 22nd of December.
The signature film was released on this occasion by reputed actress at Vartha Bhavana in Bengaluru on Monday evening. A child unveiling the world map and later it is turning as ‘Gandaberunda’ leading to the 4th BIFFES title was part of this ‘Signature Film’.
180 films from 40 countries 4th BIFFES will be inaugurated on 15th December by Karnataka chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda at 6 pm at Jnana Jyothi auditoriuu, Central College Campus, KR Circle, Bengaluru. Chief guests at this inauguration are Sri Dariush Mehrjui, Film maker Iran, Smt P Sharadhamma, Mayor BBMP, Ananthnag and Om Puri. The introduction film is ‘Lucky’ of Zulu language of South Africa.
This kind of festival is to hold the capital city high in the world map. Government of Karnataka has released Rs.2.5 crores for this event stated Principal Secretary Basavaraju. Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy Chairman TS Nagabharana, Information director Muddu Mohan and artistic director HN Narahari Rao were present at the ‘Signature Film’ release time.
Bengaluru is growing culturally very fast. This festival is an example to it stated Thara and urged all from the industry to take part in the festival.
On 22nd the valedictory of the festival will be held at Ravindra Kalakshetra. Karnataka Governor Hansaraj Bharadwaj will preside over the closing ceremony.
