Actress Kavitha Nair, who started her career with AVM's Mudhal Idam has rechristened herself as Mohanaa.

Busy doing a couple of films in Malayalam, she says, 'I am great fan of veteran actress Padmini and I love her performances as a classical dancer Mohanaa in Thillana Mohanambal. Hence I opted  for the name'.

Thanking AVM Production for giving her a break in Tamil cinema with Mudhal Idam, she says, ' I want to do quality films and establish a permanent place for myself in the industry'.
