Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl the recent release in Bollywod has sent shockwaves to director selvaraghavan. He alleges that the movie is a rip-off of his film Nan Avan Illai that released a couple of years ago.

He himself remade the movie titled the same directed by K Balachander a few decades ago.

Says selvaraghavan. ‘I was shocked to see the Hindi movie which is heavily inspired by Nan Avan Illai. They have not taken our permission. A reputed production house Yashraj Films doing this has shocked me'.
