The charge-sheet filed by the CBI against YSR Congress president YS Jagan in connection with the illegal assets case has opened the prison doors for the young leader.
However, Jagan still claims that he is innocent. "On what grounds could the CBI arrest me? I never made phone calls to IAS officers or ministers seeking favour from them. There is not even a single evidence against me," he said.
Although Jagan is alleging that he is being made a scapegoat for crossing swords with Congress leadership and quitting the parent party after his father YS Rajasekhar Reddy's death, the crocodile tears he has been shedding alone can't stop the CBI from taking him into custody.
According to the legal experts, Jagan might be arrested anytime soon and is likely to be spending a long time in prison if the charges against him were proven.
