We have seen actors playing contrary roles as the hero as well as the villain in two different versions of the same movie.
Vikram played the main lead in the Tamil Raavanan and villain in the Hindi version Ravan. Perhaps it is for the first time that an actor will play the brother of the heroine as well as her love interest in two different versions of the same movie.
Hemachandran will have the distinction of essaying the lead opposite Meghna Raj in the Tamil version of Nandha Nandhitha and her brother in the Tollywood version with the same name.
“In Telugu, we needed a known face and hence brought T’town actor Surya Pratap onboard as the hero. Since there was no time to find someone to play Meghna’s brother, I sounded the idea of using Hemachandran.
But changing the actors and shooting simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu was a real challenge,” says director Ramshiva.
Sources say that there is an intense lip-lock scene between Hemachandran and Meghna and the pair took about eight takes to get the scene perfect. The movie has been cleared with a U/A certification because of its violent content.
