Purushottam 'Pagade' A Love Thriller And Full Entertainment

Nearly five films to the credit of BA Purushottam did not bring him name. Nearly 150 audio CD work not brought recognition in the field. He is now looking for one such from a commercial cinema ‘Pagade’. Badavanahalli Adavappa Purushottam change of name happened in the midnight when he at Ananda Vihara Hotel in 1993. An astrologer to MGR Anwar Pasha said your name cannot be ‘Omkar’ reading the face. It should be from Pa, Pu…etc starting letter he said.  After hearing this Omkar got an offer to write and
he celebrated with assistant of MGR with sweets. At that time director of ‘Ganda Berunda’ named me as Purushottam. That is now my name got changed.

Purushottam directed five films – Jagadguru Renukacharya Mahatme and earned the first Rs.25 lakhs subsidy from the government of Karnataka. He directed Gnanajyothi Siddaganga, Mahashakthi Matheyaru, Devi Bagamma, Bhaktha Shankara and he has taken up ‘Pagade’.

Purushottam entered the cinema industry as assistant to AR Babu, Saiprakash, Abdul Rehman Pasha. In small screen he assisted veteran actor in his direction of ‘Anna Basavanna’.

In the audio field Purushottam has over 100 cassettes to his name. Amrutha Dhare Ayyappa is sung by Dr Rajakumar, Amara Jyothi Ayyappa audio has songs sung by Dr Vishnuvardhana. Thandavanadha Ayyappa, Suggi Banthu Suggi, Mr Chombesh with Direndra Gopal brought him lot of cheer.

Purushottam from this ‘Pagade’ is also taking a commercial route from his devotional films. It is a mass movie with class touch – there is enough suspense, action, thrill and comedy says Purushottam BA.
