The glittering international career of Rahul Dravid, who is one of the greatest players of the game, is gonna come to an end on Friday, March 9. If reports are to be believed, Dravid is likely to announce his retirement from Test cricket Tomorrow.
'The Wall's' recent tour in Australia have been one of the disastrous tours in his entire career. He scored just 194 runs in 4 Tests at an average of 24.25.
Dravid is often described as the wall of the Indian cricket team. He is second highest run scorer in Test history with 13,288 runs, only next to Sachin Tendulkar who scored 15,470 runs. He hit 36 Test tons, 63 half centuries and has an impressive average of 52.31 in 164 Test matches. His highest scores in Tests is 270 and took 210 catches, which no other player could achieve till now.
He had scored 10,889 runs in ODIs at an average of 40, with 12 tons and 83 half centuries. He made his debut against England at Lord's in 1996 and captained India from December 2005 to August 2007. It may be recalled that Dravid had already announced his retirement from ODIs and Twenty20s.
