Responding to the media's question on the poll results in five states, Union Minister Daggubati Purandeswari said the verdict given by the people is a wake-up call for the ruling party. She opined that the party need to undergo some organizational changes to regain the lost glory.
Purandeswari said that the poll results in the five states will show no impact on the upcoming by-polls in the state. She also expressed confidence that Congress will fight against all the odds to retain power in the 2014 elections.
When media quizzed her about the Women's Reservations Bill, Purandeswari said that all the political parties should support the bill to pass it in Parliament.
The poll results in the five states can be seen the rejection of the politics and policies of UPA Government at the Centre.
