Director of bilingual film on fugitive Veerappan – AMR Ramesh setting aside all set backs on one side has taken the risk of appearing in a role in his film. He is like last resort to his film. When the selections to the role of ‘Gurunath’ did not match director cum producer of ‘Attahasa’ AMR Ramesh came before the camera.
When AMR Ramesh was shooting in and around Gopinatham village of Veerappan many of the villagers told Ramesh that he looks like Gurunath. Yet he made search for the role. When his search failed he took up the role. AMR Ramesh had to grow extra beard for this purpose to come before the camera.
‘Attahasa’ in Kannada is also made in Tamil language.
