The terrific ‘Addhuri’ performer on Kannada screen Radhika Pandit has decided not to take up item dance in her career even before performing one. Let any actress sing and dance in item dance. I am not for it says Radhika Pandit. It is not wrong I am telling. It is glamorous. But when it is branded like ‘Item Dance’ I feel an artist enters the discomfort zone.

In the past an actress like Bhavana declared that filling the purse is important. There is nothing wrong in doing item numbers. Ragini Dwivedi acted in the song ‘Thuppa Beka Thuppa…., director Kavitha Lankesh saying Ramya is in a song in ‘Crazy Loka’ that was branded as ‘Item Song’ in the media created a controversy.

It seems Radhika Pandit is aware of all such comments. Radhika Pandit is a good performer and she is so far in decent roles given delectable performance.

Radhika Pandit has one thing to say. Give me challenging and performance oriented roles. She is now in ‘Alemari, Addhuri, Breaking News and heard a few scripts.
