Hyderabad-Shirdi Travel Bus tragedy : 'Blame it on the Liquor'

The enquiry committee appointed by the state government to disclose the facts behind the tragic Hyderabad to Shirdi bus accident has submitted it's report after thorough investigation. The enquiry team visited the accident spot, interacted with the locals and victims to collect the information.

According to the report, the accident occurred due to the consumption of liquor by the bus driver. The driver bought the liquor at Mahendra Dhaba near Zaheerabad and consumed it there itself. As per the test samples, he had 69 mg of liquor in 100 ml of blood at the time of accident. The person who is with more than 30 mg of liquor in 100 ml of blood is not permitted to drive.
Sree Kaleswari Travels Volvo bus (No: KA O1D245) with 46 passengers on board fell off the bridge killing around 30 people and injuring others. This incident happened on June 16 at 2.40 am in the morning in Solapur, Maharashtra. 13 software engineers who work for TCS have died in this accident, nine out of them are women.
