Shahid and Priyanka's 'Teri Meri Kahaani' does well in foreign markets, collects Rs 6.83 crore

Despite a good publicity drive, 'Teri Meri Kahaani' is not doing well at the ticket window. The film earned Rs 16.75 crore in the first weekend. Made at an approximate budget of Rs 30 crore, the film was expected to do better. However, trade analyst Taran Adarsh feels that the film is doing fairly well in the overseas market. He tweets, "Teri Meri Kahaani does fairly well in Overseas, but lower than Mausam."

He also gives the break-ups for the film in foreign markets, "opening weekend UK £ 190,130 [Rs 1.69 cr] ... USA $ 405,926 [Rs 2.31 cr] ... UAE AED 14,00,000 [Rs 2.18 cr]...Australia A$ 84,491 [Rs 48.39 lacs]... New Zealand NZ$ 22,949 [Rs 10.32 lacs]... Fiji FJD 18,866 [Rs 5.91 lacs]."
'Teri Meri Kahaani' is facing stiff competition from 'Gangs of Wasseypur' at the box office. While the latter opened to rave reviews, 'Teri Meri Kahaani' got a mixed response.
