Tirupathi MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy has decided to curb 'liquor' from the temple town of Tirupathi. But, his own party men and followers are not following his words.
Tirupathi MLA Karunakar Reddy has started an indefinite strike to pressurize the government for liquor ban in temple town. His party, YSR-Congress too called for a day bandh in Tirupathi which invoked only partial response. Surprisingly, it is now revealed that a key follower of Karunakar Reddy has won three shops in the recent 'liquor shop lottery'. Generally one can own only single shop, but this leader managed to get a couple under benami names. If the recently elected MLA cannot check his own people from entering liquor business in Tirupathi, who else will listen to him in YSR-Congress.
Analysts say that if politicians stop all the businesses they are involved into, then there is no doubt 80% of peoples problems will be solved. Say it road contracts, liquor syndicates, ration stores or multi crore loans, only politicians are playing 70% of the key role. Let us see what Karunkar Reddy will do now.
