In a fresh statement given today, Home Minister Chidambaram has declared that they are thinking about the prospects of bifurcating AP, though he confirmed that there is no time frame for this. With Cong taking this decision after by-polls, one can understand the impact of Jagan on ruling party now.
With Jagan becoming a big threat for Congress in the state, the ruling party is trying to win the hearts of at least in T-region now. As Andhra people have voted for Jagan's party in the recent by-polls, the Congress is now thinking of splitting the state as they will have some chance in T-area then. 'Leaders from state are insisting to solve the T-issue soon. We are expecting the stand of all other political parties too very soon', Chidambaram stated today.
However, state political circles are saying that it is only to save from Jagan's rising stardom Congress is getting ready to split the state. Analysts say that Congress is using Telangana card in view of the presidential polls that are stated ahead. In order to prevent cross voting from Congress MPs, they are playing T-card again it looks.
