After their party's by-poll debacle, Congress High Command is seriously considering the Rayala Telangana proposal. Home Minister P Chidambaram's recent statement that Centre is making efforts to find a solution to the Telangana issue indicates the same.
Will all the political parties in the state agree for Rayala Telangana? TRS and BJP has already declared that they oppose the proposal, as they are fighting for the state that was in existence prior to the formation of AP on Nov 1, 1956. On the other hand, TDP is yet to make it's stand clear on Rayala Telangana.
While most the Congress leaders from Rayalseema and Telangana are reacting positively to this proposal, Jaganmohan Reddy who is of the opinion that Sonia is trying to restrict his wave with this move is strictly objecting bifurcation of the state. The YSR Congress leaders stated that both Rayalseema and Telangana people weren't interested in Rayala Telangana state. They opined that the division of state should be in the interest of the people, not for benefit of political parties.
