During Jagan's 7 hours stay in Dilkusha Guest House, the CBI grilled the young leader on various things such as the investments in Jagathi Pulications, links with Matrix Prasad and on the allegations of Minister Mopidevi against YSR. Firstly, CBI joint director Lakshmi Narayana has questioned the four accused (Jagan, Mopidevi Venkataramana, Nimmagadda Prasad and Brahmananda Reddy) separately and matched the answers given by them for same questions. After that, all the four were jointly grilled by CBI in a single room based on their statement and information collected. Few questions asked by CBI and the answers given by Jagan to them are listed below:
CBI) When did your association with Matrix Prasad, who invested Rs 550 crores in Jagathi Publications, started? Do you know him even before YSR became CM?
Jagan) I have known him since 2003.
CBI) Minister Mopidevi confessed that due to pressure he had signed few documents. Did your father late YSR pressurized him or you did that on your own?
Jagan) Everything has been done in a transparent manner and as per law.
CBI) How huge investments have flown into your companies?
Jagan) The intention of every investor of Sakshi is only to make money. I hadn't forced anyone to invest in my companies.
CBI) Did you receive benefits in return to alloting thousands of acres land to Matrix Prasad's vanpic project?
Jagan) The state government has allotted the land to Vanpic and Mr. Prasad paid the quoted price and took over it. Why would he again pay for me? Everything has been done as per law.
For most of the questions, Jagan replied everything has been done in a transparent manner and as per law. Seems like, the CBI needs to find new ways to make Jagan confess that he is corrupt.
