40 cm high tsunami waves near Andamans: Indonesia earthquake

Minor tsunami waves up to 40 cm high were near the Andaman and Nicobar Islands following the massive earthquake off the Indonesian coast.

According to a report of Indian Tsunami Warning Centre, the tsunami alert has been continued as there could be waves of less than 2 meter high between 5 pm and 6.30 pm.
There have been at least five aftershocks experienced in Indonesia following the massive earthquake of 8.6 magnitude on the Richter scale.
