Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi was lashed out by the media for changing her costumes to look like 'Indira' during the poll campaigns. It is not only Priyanka, but politicians from our states also change their dresses as they are battling dust in the poll-bound Telangana region.
Young and dynamic TDP MLA Revanth Reddy is another example of this. The fire-brand T-region legislator generally comforts himself in international branded T-shirts and Jeans off the camera. However, while attending party meets, promotions and other press meets, he puts up Khaddar. Then, what really matters about the costume they wear is the question of many. Will a politician wearing 'pure white khaddar' stops going corrupt or will a businessman dressed in western-wear fails does more scams.
On the other hand, the pure 'pondur khaddar' costs you an whopping 2K rupees per shirt but a top-class brand comes around thousand rupees, says political analysts. Righteousness lies in the heart and doing it vests with mind but not the drape that keeps us in false imaginations. Hope people will come out of 'look oriented politicians' and votes for 'work doing' leaders.
