No sex in Kahaani impeded its success: Vidya

With two back to back hits in her kitty, Vidya Balan is on cloud nice. The actress however, isn’t much happy with the fate of her latest release Kahaani and interestingly, holds lack of sex in the film responsible for it.

Vidya elaborates further by drawing comparisons with her last release The Dirty Picture, which worked wonders at the Box-Office in the truest sense of the word. “The success of Kahaani isn’t as sweeter as The Dirty Picture because of no sex. No sex in Kahaani has impeded its success. Leave aside sex; there were no songs too, which are very essential in a Bollywood flick,” exclaims Vidya.

She, quite confidently makes clear that she can take the responsibility of a film on her strong shoulders. Hinting at no need of Khans to push her career, she further adds, “I strongly believe that a script is the hero of the film. So, irrespective of the fact whether Khans are involved or not, I will always go for a right script which will enhance my career further.”

“That doesn’t mean I have no interests in Khans, I will surely do a film with them, but a good script will be the priority,” says the National Award winning actress. She also goes candid about her experience so far as a female actor in the film fraternity and concludes, “You always have to justify a woman’s success but that doesn’t happen with man.”
