Ilayathalapathy Vijay shot a scene for his AR Murgadoss directed Thuppakki in the crowded streets of Mumbai!
Ace cameraman Santosh Sivan was supervising the camera crew for a particular important candid crowd scene. Taking a cue, Vijay went behind the camera and took an instant shot. Later Santosh commented to the unit that it was “perfect shot in sync with the required scene.”
A source in Thuppakki unit confirmed: “On Sunday in crowded Linking Road Bandra, Vijay acted and operated the camera himself. A tricky crowd scene had to be taken quickly while he was enacting a scene, with the unaware public. Our Ilayathalapathy rose to the occasion and in a flash shot the scene while Santosh sir was checking the lights in the background. There was only one take as Vijay sir was spotted by the public.”
