Andhra Pradesh chief electoral officer Bhanwarl Lal has submitted a report to the Election Commission (EC) saying chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy violated the model code, which came into force for the by-elections on March 18.
TRS filed a complaint against chief minister alloeging the violation of model code in one of the Assembly constituencies, where the by-election is going to be held. Addressing a group of Congress party workers who came from Kamareddy, Kiran Kumar Reddy assured that he will resolve the drinking water problem in the constituency.
Promising benefits to the people of the constituency, when the model code is in force comes under violation of the norms put up Election Commission. After studying the report sent by chief electoral officer, the Election Commission Of India will be taking necessary action. Sources say, EC might issues notices to the chief minister seeking explanation over the incident and takes the final call after that!
