Corruption is at peaks in the state with politicians keeping busy shielding bureaucrats without whom they cannot eat the fruits of scams. Today, we have seen the exit of 'BP Acharya'. Who is going to be tomorrow's 'free bird'? Is it Srilakhsmi?
Court has granted bail for BP Acharya, the prime accused IAS officer in the Emmaar properties case. As the CBI failed to get permission from the State government to prosecute this tainted IAS officer, he got the bail. If the investigating sleuths further fail to get a nod from authorities, there are chances for his acquittal too. Under section 19 of corruption act, CBI has to get nod either from Supreme Court or from State to prosecute a civil services person. In this case, SC has asked state to look into the matter with CBI directly appealing there. Our rulers haven't responded about it with the increased 'IAS lobbying'.
Sources are saying that even Srilakshmi, the accused officer in Gali's mining scam will be out soon due to her strong connections with IAS circles and politicians. If that happens, there is no doubt even accused mining tycoon Gali and his PA Ali Khan will also roam free in their chopper soon!
