India's Tata Motors has unveiled its new innovation, 'Tata Megapixel', a car which runs for 100 kilometres on just one litre of fuel, at the Geneva motor show in Switzerland.
The four-seater is a smart global range extended electric vehicle combines a lithium ion phosphate battery and an on-board petrol engine generator for recharging on the move.
Tata Megapixel offers a range of up to 900 km (one full tank of fuel) and fuel economy of 100 km/litre (under battery only power). It has a CO2 emission of just 22 gm/km.
The target price for the Tata Megapixel is yet to finalized. Market experts says if the price tag of the Tata Megapixel is affordable and delivers the outcome as promised by the Tata Motors, then this new car will lead to a small car revolution.
