A Rare Movie "Kakana Kote" Screening

Here is a good opportunity for people who love the evergreen era of Kannada cinema. The Kannada film ‘Kakana Kote’ is screened at K.V.Subbana Aptha Samuha & Kannada Vartha Ilake Saturday 24th July at 3.30 pm at KV Subbanna Aaptha Rangamandira situated in teachers colony.
The 1976 film ‘Kakana Kote’ starring Lokesh, Srinath, Loknath, Venkatachalam, Rajkumar, Girija Lokesh is also discussed with the actors and technicians of the film after the screening of the film. CR Simha has directed this film for which Girish Kasaravalli was assistant director. MS Sathyu done the art work for this film and C Ashwath composed the music. Produced by MR Jayaraj and MC Sathyanarayana  ‘Kakana Kote’ is on progressive thinking, qualities of the tribal’s are effectively portrayed in the film.

The story depicts the basic qualities of human beings to lead a life of truth and honesty. It also depicts how they revolt against oppression and exploitation.

Kaka is the head of the tribal community. Hegde representative of the King subjects the community to harassment and oppression. The king comes to know of this, removes the Hegde and provides justice to the community in his own characteristic style.
