Gaining popularity is one aspect that everyone looks forward. How about growing while gaining popularity? The recent two examples are Kichcha Sudeep and Komalkumar.
Kichcha Sudeep at a very early stage became a director, producer, moved to Hindi, Telugu cinema and remained extremely grand in growth. Now comedy hero of Kannada cinema although not moved to other languages has turned
distributor. Komalkumar is already a well known actor, producer, and exhibitor, he moved to small screen in his career at a very early stage.
The method Komalkumar is applying for his film is very interesting. He is reopening the olden days system prevalent in Telugu and Tamil cinema. Area wise distribution in lieu of remuneration!
In lieu of remuneration for ‘Govindaya Namaha’ he has not got the rights of Shimoga, Chickmagalur and Hyderabad Karnataka – all put together he could release the film in 18 theatres and get back his remuneration in the case of ‘Govindayanamaha’.
For ‘Radhikan Ganda’ Kannada cinema Komalkumar has taken the entire Karnataka distribution and a portion of area is his remuneration.
