Unconventional film actor Mahie Gill who marked her B'town debut through Anurag Kashyap's 'Dev.D' admits that acting in off-beat cinemas was not a conscious decision. Mahie admitted that she went on signing films that came her way, and unfortunately the actor never got an opportunity to feature in commercial cinema.
However, now the 36-year-old actor is looking forward to experiment with different genres of film. Mahie wants to appear in
rom-coms and comedy genre flicks. Mahie has already played negative roles in Ram Gopal Verma's 'Not A Love Story' and Tigmanshu Dhulia's 'Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster'. Meanwhile, Mahie is now gearing up for the sequel of 'Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster'.
The critically acclaimed film actor would be next seen in Irrfan Khan starrer 'Paan Singh Tomar' that is scheduled to release on March 2.
