A proposal to name ‘Bengaluru Metro’ in the name of actor, director late Shanker Nag has not come up says Karnataka chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda speaking to media persons today afternoon.
The very first person to think of Metro to Bengaluru was Shanker Nag and he also suggested a proposal twenty five years ago. Late Shanker Nag the international award winner for his role in ‘Ondanondhu Kaladalli’ younger brother of Ananthnag the versatile actor also thought of rope way for Nandi Hills.
As Bengaluru Metro – first stage of Rs.11,609 crores, 42 kilometers from Byappanahalli to Mahatma Gandhi Road inauguration is taking place at MG Road tomorrow the media inquired the Karnataka chief Minister on any proposal to keep the name of late Shanker Nag.
Those who have contributed this state names are obvious to come up but there is no name as of now of Shanker Nag said the chief minister.
