‘Agneepath’ stuns overseas market:Cinejwala:

‘Agneepath’ has given the Hindi Film Industry its first hit of the year 2012 and how!!! The film which has raked in huge moolah within a couple of days of its release has apparently even made waves in international market. The film has done an exceptionally super business in overseas and has set a record of sorts. It has also broken the first week box office collections of Hrithik’s film ‘Kites’ which did a considerable amount of business at the international box office. The film has apparently grossed $8 million in overseas markets but hasn’t beaten ‘Ra.One’s overseas collection which apparently touched the $10 million mark.

The film has done well in America, Canada, UAE, Australia, Singapore, South Africa and Mauritius. Producer Karan Johar accredited the success to the hard work of Director Karan Malhotra and exclaimed that he has done brilliant work in leading the film. “Director Karan Malhotra deserves all the due credit and accolades for his vision that has made it all possible. He along with his creative and actor’s team helped us create box office magic,” said Karan.
