The recent release of KSIC Calendar hitting the stands in more than 10000 copies form the Karnataka state government is of course a pride for Chairman B Vijayakumar. But the fact is that all the 12 participants to the photo shoot in the heritage calendar of KSIC were not paid anything is not truth.
The silk sarees with lovely borders (borders contain Jari – that is formed from 65 percent gold and 35 percent silver) ranging from Rs.50000 to Rs.1.50 lakh is the gift given to all seven heroines and five models. Is that not enough asks one of the officials when checked at the Calendar release event.
Of course the gift offered in the form of Saree is more than what they would charge. Apparently the 100 years KSIC calendar has been elusive for some of the top heroines like Ramya, Aindrita Ray, Ragini, Radhika Pandit, Sharmila Mandre, Nidhi Subbaiah and a few others.
What was notable is that on the day of release of KSIC 100 years event Calendar of 2012 the No.1 actress Ramya took part in a private silk showroom inauguration according to sources.
