The veteran of 89 years with expertise in direction and production Veeramachineni Madhusudhana Rao passed away on Wednesday in Hyderabad after a prolonged illness. Madhusudhana Rao was born in Edupugallu near Vijayawada in Krishna district on 14 June 1923.
Madhusudhana Rao was a great disciple of legendary Adurti subba rao and KS Prakash Rao and made his debut with Sati Tulasi(1959). The veteran of 72 films as director in Telugu movies directed the super
stars like NTR, ANR, Shoban babu,Krishna, Krishnam Raju,Chiranjeevi,Nagarjuna,Jagapati babu and so many artists.
Raktha Sambandham, Veerabhimanyu,Taxi Ramudu,Gudi Gantalu, Manushulu Maraali, Krishna veni, Vikram, Kanchanaganga, Antastulu,Atmiyulu etc. are only a few among Victory’s numerous hits. He has the most enviable track record and success rate as a director among his era. Ace directors like K Raghavendra Rao, Vamsi, Kodandarami Reddy and PC Reddy were worked at him as assistant directors .
