It was widely believed that the noted music director Mani Sharma was not on talking terms with Taman. The reason for this was that Taman was snatching all the offers that would have originally gone to mani sarma.

The fact is that it is not true. Taman like many others began his career by playing keyboard. He worked for mani sarma for several years before becoming an independent music director. Taman is now the most sought after music director.
mani sarma is no longer the favourite. However both mani sarma and Taman put to rest all speculation and gossip about the rift by cozying up at the MAA Music award function. Not just that, mani sarma even presented the Best Music director award to Taman! So it is ‘all is well’ between mani sarma and Taman.
