The cute and the rebellious kids in ‘Chillar Party’ floored the audience with their charm. Though the film was not a super commercial success at Box office yet it was the sheer audience demand and love that forced its makers to come up with a sequel to the lovable film. However the film’s sequel plans have met an unusual problem as the star cast of the film that is the kids have grown and hence now don’t fit the bill to star in the sequel.
The film was apparently completed two years before it released in the year 2011. And in the span of these years, the kids have outgrown their characters and hence are no more
suitable to star in the sequel of the film. Director Vikas Bahl is upset that he wouldn’t be able to shoot the film with the same cast but says that they have to move on. “The film was actually completed two years before it was released early in 2011. So the kids have all moved on. It's sad, but if we shoot the sequel with them they would look like different people,” stated Vikas.
As of now he is worried and anxious over finding a similarly talented cast, “Where will I find the same kind of actors to play Phatka, Jhangiya, Akram, Encyclopedia and the others? We had to audition hundreds of kids to get the correct faces with the talent. Now we've to start from scratch” added Bahl. However he revealed that the central character Bhidu – The Dog will star in the film “He is my own pet dog. He will appear in all the Chillar Party films.”
