Bollywood filmmaker Shirish Kunder recently revealed the release date of his film ‘Joker’ on twitter and confirmed that the film will release on August 30, 2012. However he recently disclosed that the film is 95 percent complete and the shooting of the film will wrap up within one week. Hence it made many raise a question about its delayed release that will see the light of the day almost after nine months of its completion.
Shirish revealed that the film which will release in 2D and 3D will require that much of time for the post production work. He stated that the film is not shot in 3D format and hence will require a lot of time and efforts for conversion in that format. He also sounded excited on the aspect of working with some international technical experts for converting his film in 3D.
He has cracked a deal with ‘Prime Focus’ special effects house which has made some of the biggest 3D films in Hollywood like ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ (2010) and ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two’. And Shirish proudly confirmed that they were the ones, who are working on his film as well.
