Miley Naa Miley Hum:
Politician Ram Vilas Paswan’s light eyed son Chirag Paswan makes debut with this film and we must say the lad certainly has the potential which sadly isn’t optimized in this flick. Paired with Bollywood hottie Kangna Ranaut, Chirag shows some optimistic signs of his talent that might take him ahead in league of newbie’s if he makes right picks and gets the right film.
Story:
The Film is about the central character Chirag who has a troubled childhood citing the fact that his parents played by Kabir Khan and Poonam Dhillon go through a divorce which keeps him divided. As if the bad memories of child hood weren’t enough his adolescence and adulthood also goes through a series of tricky situations, courtesy his parents. His father (Kabir Bedi) wants Chirag to be a tennis player and get hitched to hios his best friend's punjabi kudi played by Neeru Singh. On the other hand his mother (Poonam Dhillon) wishes her son to be a corporate biggie and has also searched for a perfect girl for him. That girl is played by Sagarika Ghatge who plays Poonam’s best friend's foreign returned fashion designer daughter. This dilemma leaves Chirag tired and suddenly he encounters an aspiring model Kangna Ranaut and fall for her charm.
Analysis:
The film had a potential tale to tell that if added with some humor and lightness could have worked wonders. The family drama proves to be an overdose at a point in movie when its never ending saga gets a bit too much for people to handle. Director Tanveer Khan has exemplified a talent to handle the loose story with ease, however little attention towards the story and screenplay would have had added charm to his direction.
Performances:
Performances by Kabir Bedi and Poonam Dhillon are not at par their potential, we wonder if the poor screenplay degraded their performances. Chirag, on the other hand despite of the drawbacks in script, as a newcomer performs his part really well. He as a debutant has put up a decent show. Kangna in her small yet meatier role has lived up to the expectations and has performed her character really well. However Chak De girl Sagarika Ghatge and newbie Neeru Singh fail to lit up the screen.
Technicalities:
Songs of the film are soothing enough yet, will fail to survive beyond the shelf life of the film. Javed Akhtar’s lyrics are yet again magical however music composers Sajid-Wajid fail to give the music a boost.
Plus Points:
Chirag
Kangna
Minus Points:
Technicalities
Final Word:
The film is a decent watch and can be easily tagged as a worth ‘one-time’ watch
