Title committee head resigns:Cinejwala:

All is not well in the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. The title committee head Soorappa Babu has tendered resignation for the post because he has not been able to solve his own title controversy.

Soorappa Babu registered the title ‘Varada’ for Shivaraj Kumar as hero. Producer Shankre Gowda announced ‘Varadanayaka’ for his remake film starring Sudeep, Chiranjeevi Saraja and Nikesha Patel.

Sitting in the title committee things did not go in right way. The dual standard of KFCC chief KV Chandrasekhar is what perturbed Soorappa Babu. Films with similar name registration should not permitted is the guideline.
Now all of a sudden there is change in the guideline with regard to ‘Adda and Prem Adda’, ‘Varada and Varadanayaka’ and previously to ‘Vishnu and Vishnuvardhana’.

When the ‘Vishnu and Vishnuvardhana’ titles cropped up at KFCC for registration the rule was formed and it was during the Basanth Kumar Patil regime.

Following the guidelines formed I have lost friends in the industry. I don’t want that to happen. It is not possible to do justice says Babu.
