S Bangarappa Passes Away:Cinejwala:

There is not only grief in the political circle but also in the Kannada film industry and especially in the Dr Rajakumar family.

Smt Geetha Shivaraj Kumar father flamboyant former chief minister of Karnataka Sarekoppa Bangarappa died on Sunday night after a prolonged illness.

Smt Geetha Shivarajakumar, actor and politicians Kumar Bangarappa and Madhu Bangarappa father was suffering from ailment for a few months. The two sons of S Bangarappa are having high reputation in cinema and politics while Shivarajakumar the century star of Kannada cinema is the son in law of S Bangarappa.

S Bangarappa was a keen enthusiast in culture of the state. A Hindustani singer S Bangarappa changed parties and constructed parties but finally landed in Janata Dal S Party. Bangarappa was in to stage plays, singing and was part of one or two films in Kannada.

Born on October 26, 1932 S Bangarappa died on 26th December at 12.40 am at Mallaya Hospital in Bengaluru.

S Bangarappa was instrumental in holding the first Indian international film festival in Bengaluru in 1993.
