The weeklong international film festival of Bengaluru is coming to an end on Thursday evening. The jury is getting final preparations for the declaration of awards in a few categories of international, national and regional.
The 4th Bengaluru international film festival organized by Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy and Government of Karnataka valedictory will be at Ravindra Kalakshetra – the award ceremony is also part of this festival. The climax film is ‘Guide’ of Dev Anand.
Dr Hans Raj Bharadwaj, Governor of Karnataka will be presenting the awards for various categories. Chief guests on this occasion are KV Chandrasekhar KFCC President, Smt Jayanthi and Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana. KCA Chairman TS Nagabharana, Basavaraju IAS, Chairman Orgnaising committee, secretary, Information and Kannada and Culture, Dr Muddu Mohan, executive director will be present on this occasion.
After the presentation of awards at the closing ceremony a tribute to recently passed away Dev Anand is given via screening of ‘Guide’ – a musical romance of 183 minutes is arranged.
