Oscar winner, A. R. Rahman has been awarded by 'Lifetime Achievement Award at Dubai’s 8th International Film Festival (DIFF). Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority gave this award to the Indian Music Composer. The music maestro is the youngest one to honoured by this award. Until now Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Yash Chopra and Subhash Ghai were the earlier ones who brought this award to India and now A. R. Rahman is joining them. Morgan Freeman, Sean Penn, Oliver Stone, Danny Glover, Terry Gilliam were the others International artists who bagged this award.
A.R. Rahman has set records of awards. He has achieved Oscar award, 2 Grammy Awards, 2 Academy Awards, 4 National Awards, 1 Bafta and 1 Golden Globe Award, and 14 Filmfare Awards. His recent musical hit has been Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’.
