The 5th Indo-German film festival is slated from 18th of November to 24th of this month at Lavanya theatre in Ulsoor locality, Bengaluru.
The 5th Indo-German Film Festival Bangalore 2011 promises a feast of sensational films. The much-awaited Indo-German Film Festival is all set to take Bangalore by storm for the fifth time! The Festival is being held in collaboration with the Bavarian State Government, Germany, the Film fernseh Fonds Bayern, Germany and Suchitra Film Society Bangalore, under the banner of Germany and India.
Almanya - Willkommen in Deutschland (Almanya), Buddenbrooks - Der Verfall einer Familie (Buddenbrooks - The Decline of a Family), Die Geschichte vom Brandner Kasper (The Story of Brandner Kasper), Jasmin Rock it!, Vincent will meer (Vincent wants to sea, Wader Wecker - Vater Land (Wader Wecker - Father Land)
Indian films: Adaaminte Makan Abu (Abu, Adam´s Son). Balgandharva (Sound of Heaven), Bettada Jeeva, Khargosh, Kutty Srank (The Sailor of Hearts), Memories In March, Peepli Live, Puttakana Highway, Udaan (Flight)
Children’s films: I am Kalam, Stanley ka Dabba (Stanley's Tiffin Box) , Hexe Lilli und die Reise nach Mandolan (Lilli the Witch 2 – The Journey to Mandolan) , Wicki und die starken Männer (Vickie the mighty Viking)
All this and more in an action-packed week with five screenings per day at Lavanya Theatre. This year there will be post-screening interactions with Directors, Producers and Actors.
Entry to the Festival is on the basis of Delegate Passes.
Registration forms are available at the Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan, Suchitra Film Society, British Library, Alliance Francaise and online. Passes will be issued from November 14, 2011 onwards and are valid for the entire Festival.
