Sun Pictures acts come to an end:Cinejwala:

The Tamilnadu Theatre Owners Association has decided not to buy and distribute movies produced by Sun Pictures team. The reason for protesting against against Sun Pictures is that they are delaying in paying the deposit funds of 2.5crores for screening films produced by them including Enthiran, Maapillai, Vettaikaran and Suraa.

Mr. R. Paneerselvam, general secretary of the association stated that the amount was made as an agreement to be settled after the film’s release. Also he mentioned that this has nothing to do with the film’s Success or failure, it was mandatory for every producer to repay the deposit fund to the theatres.

Also he points out that they have approached the state government to increase the number of shows per day from 4 to 6 shows a day within the time limit stipulated. We have even demanded the government to permit the theatres to be rented for weddings, exhibitions and public meetings, whenever films were not being screened.

Finally he states that if Sun Pictures doesn’t respond properly then we will take strict actions against them.
