Shanker Nag Statue Unveiled:Cinejwala:

All of a sudden abundant of love has come for the dexterous director and actor Shanker Nag after his 20 years of demise. On the 57th birth anniversary (he died at the age of 37) various activities took place in the name of late Shanker Nag. Either his brother Ananthnag or Shanker Nag wife Arundhathi were not found in any of the events held in Bengaluru.

On 9th November night Karnataka Rakshana Vedike invited super star Upendra to unveil the first bronze Shanker Nag idol in front of the Gopalan Mall on Mysore Road.

Actor Ramesh Bhat a long companion of Shanker Nag when he was living was present at the statue inauguration. Zamir Ahmed former minister of Karnataka government and JDS party politician was present with other members of Karntaka Rakshana Vedike. This is the first bronze statue of late Shanker Nag in Bengaluru.
