Producer MS Raju was once regarded as Sankranthi Raju as all his films that were released during Pongal were big hits. Okkadu, Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, Varsham etc. are MS Raju’s Pongal blockbusters. Later he tasted failures for Pongal too and that tag was taken away.

Now MS Raju is on a silent mission to prove his mettle to the people who have written him off. He is currently doing a film with his son Sumanth Ashwin in the lead. This film’s shoot was almost complete and the film sources say that it would be ready for release by Pongal.

Pongal is already crowded with many star studded films. It would be interesting to see if MS Raju pits his son against all the biggies or not? He released Varsham against Anji and Lakshmi Narasimha when Prabhas was not a noted hero and registered a big hit.
