Bal Thackeray deems Big B for ‘Bharat Ratna’ :CineJwala:

Political scion Bal Thackeray has been the front runner in targeting Bollywood superstars for their acts. Last year it was Shah Rukh Khan who was targeted for supporting Pakistani players as his film ‘My Name Is Khan’ faced strict protests from the activists of the political party. His nephew Raj Thackeray was the one who targeted North Indian Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan and now it is Bal Thackeray who is demanding a ‘Bharat Ratna’ for the same star.

Bal Thackeray recently again criticized Shah Rukh’s magnum opus film ‘Ra.One’ but on contrary quoted Amitabh to be a potential star to be rewarded with the coveted ‘Bharat Ratna’. Bal Thackeray believes that Amitabh is the face of India in overseas as he justified that people don’t know about India’s Prime Minister and President but know who Amitabh Bachchan is. Hence he says that he would love to see Amitabh receiving the highest civilian honor in the country.
