Alva Nudisiri award for srinath, Sumithra :CineJwala:
The annual Alvas Nudisiri prestigious award for 2011 has been announced. Dr Srinath, BK Sumithra, BT Lalitha Naik and Prof Nissar Ahmed all connected to Kannada cinema gets the prestigious award.
Dr Srinath is a renowned actor and MLC, BK Sumithra is a playback singer, Prof Nissar Ahmed poems have been used in cinemas, BT Lalitha Naik former minister acted in Kannada films and her novels were made as films.
The Alvas Nudisiri will be presented by Alvas Education Foundation Dr Mohal Alva and vice President of the association Damodhar Shetty.
The three days festival of Alvas Nudisiri is held at Mudibidri in the chairmanship of MM Kalburgi. Director of Kannada films and writer Prof Baraguru Ramachandrappa will declare open the activities.
At the valedictory of this function Dr Chandrasekhara Kambara will be felicitated. Seminar, cultural shows, poet meet and others are part of this ‘Alvas Nudisiri’.
Veteran journalist MV Kamath, Chandrasekhara Patil, Ramachandran, Gopala Naika, Anke Gowda, Chidambara Rao Jambe are also receiving felicitations at ‘Alvas Nudisiri’.
