Dwarakish Replaces Dr.Bhrathi VishnuArdhana

The government of Karnataka has corrected its mistake. For the 2009-2010 Karnataka State awards it has appointed Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana without even consulting her. Dr Bharathi had no communication even after her replacement.

However, Dr Bharathi Vishnuvardhana declined the chair to head the award committee because her husband Dr Vishnuvardhana films ‘Aptha Rakshaka, Master’ wee in the fray for the contest. On 13th July the government of Karnataka information department has passed another order (of 6th April 2011) quashing the earlier one. In the earlier list announced the statement also appointed Lohitashva. Even Lohitashva name has also been changed to Lokanath another veteran actor.


Other members of the State award panel are Kasargod Chinna, directors MS Rajasekhar, S Mahender, music director  Rajan (of Rajan Nagendra duo), literary personality Boluvara Mohammat Kuyi, journalist from Prajavani newspaper Raghunath Cha.Ha and member of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy.

The state award panel for 2009-2010 is expected to see around 40 films for deciding on several awards.
