The Ilayathalapathy is currently undergoing treatment for his injured knee…
The latest about the Ilayathapathy is that he injured his knee during the shoot of Thuppaki in Mumbai. It is said that the actor is currently in London for treatment. But Vijay fans needn’t worry — the injury is a minor one and the actor should be fine in a week or so.
When contacted, director Murugadoss said, “We were canning an action sequence that required Vijay to jump from a height. When he touched down, his leg slipped a little bit and he hurt his knee in the process. Unfortunately, he wasn’t wearing a knee-pad too which might have prevented the injury.”
But that didn’t deter the actor from completing the scene, we hear. “Yes,” confirmed the director, “We finished that particular scene despite the fact that Vijay was in some pain.”
To get the injured knee treated, Vijay is currently undergoing treatment. It is learnt that he’ll join the Thuppaki crew once he gets well. A source from the film’s unit stated, “All that remains is a 4-day schedule of the talkie portion and three songs.” After finishing Thuppaki, Vijay has films like Yohan with Gautham Menon
and a film with director Vijay lined up.
